Montag 07.04. - Sonntag 13.04.Flughafen Frankfurt. Abflug mit Malaysia Airlines Boeing 747 via Kuala Lumpur, Sydney nach Melbourne. -Zeitverschiebung 10 Std.-

Stadtrundfahrt durch Melbourne. Botanischer Garten, Auto-Rennstrecke, Hafen, Strand, Regierungsgebäude und Straßenbahn. Erkundung auf eigene Faust. - Wohnmobilstation  „Brits“: Übergabe und Einweisung am Fahrzeug Ford Transit. Abfahrt. Linksverkehr und Stadtgewühl verunsichern. Die Fahrt ging über Geelong bis Angleses. Im  Supermarkt Vorräte gebunkert. Weiter Richtung Westen an die Küste von Anghook Lorne. Die Küstenstraße (Grand Ocean Road) mit schönen Ausblicken. Apollo Bay, Urlaubsort vieler Australier.

Weiter geht die Fahrt weiter zu den 12 Aposteln. Pause in Warrnambool. Weiter ins Innere Australiens zum Nationalpark „Grampians“. Lagerplatz direkt am See. Tags 22 Grad, nachts traumhafter Sternenhimmel versprechen gutes Wetter. Morgens sieht man aus dem Mobil die ersten Kängurus. Die Durchfahrt durch den Nationalpark geht über Berg und Tal. Sonnige Tage bei 25 Grad – die ersten Hautrötungen.

Wieder in Richtung Sydney, denn die Reiseroute sollte östlich verlaufen. - Dann Shepparton. Weiter geht es! Die Häuser und Straßen in den Orten sehen aus wie im Wilden Westen, einstöckig mit Überdachung. Nähe Albury sehen die Hügel wie gelbbraune Büffelrücken aus. Alle 30 Meter ein Baum. Unser Platz liegt an einem Bach bei Gundagei, nahe Canberra. - Auf nach Sydney-Tural.
